As the holiday season approaches, PLM Fleet is committed to helping customers maintain peak performance of their refrigerated equipment. Whether you're preparing for increased demand or managing downtime, these helpful tips will ensure your fleet stays reliable and efficient.

Here are helpful pointers to keep your equipment running smoothly this holiday: 

• Check Fuel (diesel) daily 

• Fuel burns about a gallon per hour. It is recommended not to go below a ¼ tank of fuel.

• Arrange for local fuel delivery. Your PLM branch can help with suggestions for providers in your area.

• If you are waiting on product, please make sure to run the reefer every other day for an hour to ensure it operates efficiently. 

•  If using electric, it is highly recommended to consult with an electrician prior to hook up. 

• PLM does not provide electric cords; however, we can recommend vendors to help in your area. 

In the event you need service on your unit, there is the PLMServiceCode™ QR code on the driver’s side of every trailer. Simply follow these steps. 

• Scan the QR code with any mobile device. 

• Create a service request. 

• Select create new request 

• Enter contact details and location. 

• Choose service type.  Enter where the service is required. 

• An alert will pop up asking if you would like Emergency service.  Choose cancel or confirm. 

• Choose asset area.  Select the equipment type that requires service. 

• Describe issue.  Enter a brief description.  You may also upload a photo or audio message. 

• Submit request. 

If for any reason you cannot use the PLM Service Code, please call (877) 736-8756.  Select 4 for non-urgent requests.  Select 1 for Emergency Maintenance Service.   This includes after hours and roadside assistance.
